Ralph
P. Del Conte
Ralph
P. Del Conte, 86 of Fort Washington PA, died Friday in the
Chestnut Hill Hospital Philadelphia, PA. after an illness.
Born in Ambler, PA, he
was the son of the late Salvatore and Antoinette (nee Cavalli)
Del Conte.
He was a graduate of
Ambler High School class of 1939 and served in the US Army 82nd
Airborne 462nd Parachute Battalion during WW II and
was awarded the Purple Heart, Philippines Liberation Ribbon with
a Bronze Star, Asiatic pacific Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze
Stars and 1 Bronze Arrowhead.
He was a Jeweler by
trade operating R. Del Conte Jewelers and appliances in Ambler
for over 40 years prior to his retirement in the mid 1990’s.
Mr. Del Conte was a
member of St. Alphonsus Seniors, Sons of Italy LRB in Ambler the
VFW, American Legion and the 503rd Parachute RCT Association
He is the beloved
husband of Dorothy A. (nee Marinucci) Del Conte and the devoted
father of Garry S. (Mary Beth) Del Conte of Germantown, TN and
the loving grandfather of Adam, Caitlin, and Devan Del Conte of
Germantown, TN. He is also survived by his sister Jean Del Conte
of Ambler, PA.

may call Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 11:30 AM to 1:00PM at
the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike,
Ambler, with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with the Rev. John
V. Kennedy C. M. Officiating Entombment will be in Whitemarsh
Memorial Park, Prospectville.
