Robert J. Pennegar

Robert J. Pennegar, “Bob” 48 of Lansdale, PA died Saturday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. 

Born in Coaldale PA, he was the son of the late Jacob “Bud” and Marian (nee Sweeney) Pennegar.

He was a System Specialist, employed by Independence Blue Cross of Philadelphia for the past 8 years where he was recognized as the “Best of the Best” in 2007 and previously worked for Conrail.

Bob loved to vacation in Ocean City, NJ and was an avid Flyers fan and member of the Blue Dog Pub beer tasting. 

He is survived by his Wife  Lee Anne J. (nee Barger) Pennegar of Lansdale, PA. He was the cherished father of Caitlin S.  and Kelly E. Pennegar he is the devoted brother of Helen P. (Jerry) Rosenthal of Philadelphia, PA. and Mary Lou Curran of Chalfont, PA. Bob is also survived by his 6 nieces and nephews and dear friends Chris, Bob, Shane, John, Frank, Tom, Doug, Dan, Donna and the employees of IBC, EMC, Siemens and Brocade. 

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, and 9:00 to 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church 259 Forest Ave.  Ambler with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
