Henry J.
Perrong
Henry J. Perrong, 82 of
Ambler died Wednesday in the Central Montgomery Medical Center
Lansdale.
Born in Philadelphia he was
the son of the late Harold and Grace (nee Harer) Perrong.
He served in the Air Force
during WWII from January 1944 to December 1945 as an Airplane
Armorer Gunner where he served in the European-African-Middle
Eastern campaign.
Mr. Perrong graduated from
Temple University School of pharmacy in 1950 and was employed as
a Pharmacist by Rosco Brady at the Brenneman & Brady's Pharmacy
on Main Street in Ambler. He went on to purchase the pharmacy in
1964 and remain the owner until 1992 when the pharmacy closed
its doors.
Mr. Perrong was a former
member of the Ambler Kiwanis Club and a member of St. Anthony’s
Church in Ambler.
He is survived by his
beloved wife Arlene R. (nee Miller) Perrong and he was devoted
to his children Patricia (Kevin) Perrong MacDonald of
Collegeville, Kathleen (Mickey) Paone of Lansdale, Margaret
(Michael) Engard of Perkasie, Connie Perrong of Montgomeryville
and Henry J. Perrong Jr. of Norristown. He is the loving
grandfather of 9 grand children, 10 great grand children and 1
great great grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers
Charles F. Perrong of Warminster and Harold W. Perrong Jr. of
Willow Grove.

invited to call after 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the
Chapel of St. Mary’s Manor 701 Lansdale Ave. Lansdale, PA.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM by Rev. Msgr.
Stephen P. McHenry, Pastor of St. Anthony’s Church of Ambler.
Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery Chalfont, PA.
