Emma K. Schimpf
Emma K. Schimpf, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on
Wednesday, December 31, 2008. She was from the Rockhill
Mennonite Community and formerly of Kensington.

She was the daughter of the late William and Anna (nee Beitzel)
Schimpf. Emma was also preceded in death by her brothers,
William B. (Mary) Schimpf and Albert (Elizabeth) Schimpf and her
nephew Bruce Schimpf.
Emma graduated from Kensington High School in 1934. She was a
Corporate Secretary for the Pioneer Salt Company in Philadelphia
until she retired in 1982. Emma was a faithful servant of her
Lord Jesus Christ serving as an Elder at Beacon Presbyterian
Church and at Penn Home where she was a member of the Board. She
loved to travel and never let an occasion pass without a card or
a phone call. “Aunt Emma” was devoted to her family and friends.
She influenced the lives of not only her niece and nephews but
also her grand-nieces and nephews and their children. She leaves
a legacy of commitment and importance of family, friendships and
faith. She will be deeply missed.
Emma is survived by her nephews, W. Scott (Deborah) Schimpf,
Barry (Maryann) Schimpf, Brian (Cindy) Schimpf, and nieces Nancy
(William) Schuler and Cathey Schimpf, the wife of the late Bruce
Schimpf. She is also survived by eight grand-nieces and nephews
and their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to call after 10:00AM Monday,
January 5th at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S.
Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at
11:00AM. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in
Feasterville, PA.
