Jacqueline R Smith

Jacqueline R Smith, 72 of Springhouse Estates, Lower Gwynedd PA formerly of Staten Island where she was a resident from 1958-2001 died Wednesday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes (nee LeFrancois) Freise. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband John J Smith in 1988.

She was a Bookkeeper, employed by Admiral Marine in Staten Island prior to her retirement in 1995. Mrs. Smith was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Staten Island where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the choir.

After retirement she relocated to Springhouse, PA where she was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen and she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She is survived by Daughters Jacqueline R Smith (Robert Dantzer) of North Wales, PA and Jeannine R. (Thomas) Cheboske of East Islip, NY. And was preceded in death by her son Gregory R. Smith in 2000 .She is also the sister of Patricia Frye of Loris, SC, Geraldine Girardi of Coram, NY and Ernest Freise of Lititz, PA. She is the loving grandmother of 5 Grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to call Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Church Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA with the Rev. Stephen Moerman as Celebrant. Interment will be private.
