M. Virginia “Ginny” Boland, 93 of Hatfield formerly of Merrill Rd. in Lower Gwynedd died May 7, 2010 at the home of her daughter after a brief illness.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (nee Grady) Lobb. She was preceded in death by her husband John Boland in 1988.

She was a Secretary, employed by Gwynedd Mercy College for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1985.

Mrs. Boland was a member of St. Anthony's Church where she was active in the Ladies Guild serving as their 3rd President and also played cards with their pinochle group.

She is survived by her devoted children Mary Ellen Fadesco and her late husband Tom of Hatfield and James J. Boland and his wife Julie of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her brothers Joseph P. Lobb of Lewis, DE and T. Donald Lobb of East Norriton, and her sister Marie E. Otwell of Worcester.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 13th and Friday, May 14th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike Ambler. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry at 10:30 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave. Ambler. Interment will be in the St. John Neumann Cemetery.
