Robert
H. Dixon, 88 of, Harleysville formerly of Ambler, died Thursday
February 4, 2010 in the Peter Becker Community
Harleysville, PA.
Born in Olyphant, PA, he was the son of the late James and Mary
(Langan) Dixon. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 in the
European, African, and Middle Eastern Campaigns.
He was a contract administrator for the Department Of Defense at
the Philadelphia Logistic Center. Mr. Dixon was a member of St.
Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler where he served as a Lector
and Teller and the William Bolton Dixon American Legion Post 10
in Fort Washington. Mr. Dixon was also an avid gardener.
He is the beloved Husband of Mary T. (Schulze) Dixon and the
devoted father of Kathleen (James) O'Brien of Warminster, PA,
Maureen (William) Cass of Worcester, PA, Margaret Dixon of
Lansdale, PA, Susan Dixon of Tulsa, OK, Robert H. (Deidre)
Dixon, Jr. of Dunwoody, GA, Eugene J. Dixon of Sunrise Beach,
MO, Joseph G. (Christine) Dixon of Limerick, PA, and Mary Ellen
(Bruce) Dyer of Poughkeepsie, NY. He was the loving Grandfather
of 12 and the brother of Janet Harbottle of Olyphant, PA
Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 12, 2010 from
9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest
Ave., Ambler, Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St.
John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
Remembrances in his name to a charity of donor's choice would be
appreciated by the family.
