Leroy
P. Kelly Sr., 87 of Flourtown PA, died Sunday in the St.
Joseph's Manor in Meadowbrook.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Peter and
Marie (nee Rose) Kelly. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945.
He was a Fire Chief, employed by The Atlantic Refinery in
Philadelphia for over 36 years prior to his retirement in 1981.
Mr. Kelly was a member of North East Catholic Alumni
Association, a volunteer for 35 years at St. Ambrose Church in
Philadelphia with the RCIA program and served as a Eucharist
Minister and Bingo Caller, American Red Cross Blood Drives for
20 yrs, Northeast Meals on wheels for 20 yrs, and CV16 Lexington
Veterans Reunions.
He is survived by his wife Patricia W. (nee Williams) Kelly of
Flourtown, PA. His sons LeRoy P. (Pam) Kelly Jr. of Wyndmoor,
John G. (Patricia) Kelly of Hillsborough, NJ, and Kevin T.
(Cathy) Kelly Jenkintown, PA and his daughter Patrice K. (Wayne)
Lincoln of Springfield In Del County, PA. he also survived by
his brothers Joseph "Bud" Kelly Philadelphia, PA and Edward
Kelly Philadelphia, PA and 10 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 20,
2010 from 9:00 to 10.30 AM at Seven Dolors Church 1200 E Willow
Grove Ave. Wyndmoor, PA with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
